Uni-Asia Shipping adds one last vessel, takes delivery of 37,000 dwt Handysize bulk carrier
  • Immediately earnings accretive with deployment on a time charter contract
  • Nine vessel onwed and BB chartered in by the Companies are on the sea

The Company has taken delivery of a 37,000 deadweight tonne ("dwt") Handysize bulk carrier on 28 January 2016.

The vessel was acquired in April 2013 and was built by Japan's Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Ltd. The vessel was immediately deployed on time charter upon delivery.

The Company entered into a loan agreement with BOT Lease Co., Ltd. for a loan facility of US$18.375 million and it was fully utilised to finance vessel acquisition cost.

This is the last vessel to be delivered out of nine vessels acquired/ BB chartered in by Uni-Asia Shipping since its establishment in April 2010.
